Willow Ceremony for Sukkot (Hoshana Rabbah)
Facilitated by Jenna Zadaka & Mitten Lowe, with Song by Jenny Sandler
✨The Rebbes teach that what can be accomplished on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur through tears, can be accomplished during Sukkot through joy. 🌕
On Hoshana Rabbah, the Day of the Willow, we entered the Divine Womb through embodied prayer and breath — willows in hand, under the moonlight. 🌿
We called in the ushpizin — our spiritual guests and ancestors — and asked:
What part of me is ready to soften and be received into the dark of the womb?
Attuning to Divine Space
We opened our awareness to the Shekhina — the Divine Presence that pervades all of life: above, below, around, and within.
The Shekhinah encircles us soft, unseen, yet palpable
a womb of light and listening,
holding the ache and the awe,
the letting go and the becoming
B’shem Yichud Kudsha Brich Hu U’Shechintei (בשם ייחוד קודשא בריך הוא ושכינתיה) —In the name of the unification of the Holy Blessed One and the Shechinah—I open my heart to the oneness that underlies all things.
