Jewish Healing Ceremony

Witness, Plants, Prayer, Ritual , Angels, Community

This Jewish Healing ceremony was created as a container to channel collective healing energy for a community member who was healing from breast cancer. Each participant was called together to create a powerful circle of collective care and a basket of support.

We ushered in Plants, Prayers, Rituals, Angels, Chants and Meditations/Visualizations for Healing. We honored her intention of seeing the wise, strong, perfect, magic body knowing just what to do. We intentionally chose the 7th day of Sukkot because it was an auspicious time to draw on the wellsprings of healing.

Rooted in the wisdom of Kabbalah and the seasonal rituals of Sukkot, we came together to witness, bless, sing, and direct our focused intention toward her healing. Note: Due to respect of the tender space, the photos of the participants and ceremony remain private.

Traditional prayer (Mi Sheberach)

Mi shebeirach avoteinu

M’kor hab’racha l’imoteinu

May the source of strength,

Who blessed the ones before us,

Help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing,

And let us say, Amen.

Mi shebeirach imoteinu

M’kor habrachah l’avoteinu

Bless those in need of healing with r’fuah sh’leimah,

The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit,

And let us say, Amen.

“Place upon all beings

Peace, goodness, blessing,

Grace, loving-kindness, and compassion.

Bring us to our knees in the face of brokenness.

Let us feel the pain, the suffering of each other.

Let us know it as our own.

Bless us all.

Help us rise again and again

Into the light of possibilities,

Into the light of sacred presence.

Open us to the ways of love,

Generosity and justice,

To the ways of life,

Compassion, kindness, and peace.

Help us see with humility

And meet each moment with blessing.

In the face of all that is,

Call us present

To stand together as one.

May our lives be for healing.

May our lives be for peace”
